"The Stobrimore Chronicles - The Beginning" Is Available for Purchase!

  • 1 min read

It's been a long and occasionally frustrating road and it has had more than its fair share of speed bumps and obstacles, but, as of July 16th, 2024, the first novel in the Stobrimore Chronicles series is now available for purchase.

Throughout the process, there were many lessons learned. The first and biggest lesson learned is that the traditional publishing industry isn't what it used to be. Since joining Twitter, interactions with other authors, both traditionally published and self-published, it became clear that there are just too many red flags as of late. Between disreputable literary agents, publishers who ignore the wishes of the authors, personal politics being far too present at every level and things like waiting periods for agent responses (some not replying for a year or more), I reached the decision to begin the self-publishing process.

But contrary to the belief of some, self-publishing is not an admission of defeat, nor is it an indicator of lesser quality. While it comes with downsides, such as having to cover all of the marketing myself, (a matter which is also becoming more and more common even within the traditional publishing field) the most important thing is to get these novels out there and available to you.

The readers.

I do hope that you enjoy The Stobrimore Chronicles, and that you stick around for the adventures to come.
